Ransom Canyon Property Owners Association
Can you believe August is already here? Summer may be winding down, but there's still plenty of sunshine, laughter, and memories left to make around the Canyon. Whether you've been enjoying mornings by the lake, afternoons at the pool, evening walks through the neighborhood, or gathering with friends and neighbors, this season reminds us just how special our community truly is.
This month's newsletter is filled with updates on community projects, upcoming events, and ways to stay involved. Behind the scenes, volunteers, staff, and Board members continue working to maintain and improve the amenities that make Ransom Canyon such a wonderful place to call home.
As we head into the final stretch of summer, we hope you'll take a moment to slow down, wave to a neighbor, attend a community event, and enjoy everything that makes life here unique.
Join Our Monthly Meetings:
POA meetings take place on the first Tuesday of every month at 6:30 PM at the Ranch House. These sessions offer a great chance to connect with neighbors, talk about community issues, and get updates on maintenance, and events. We appreciate your feedback and allocate time for open discussions to ensure every voice contributes to shaping the future of Ransom Canyon.
Your involvement helps maintain our community's vibrancy, safety, and welcoming atmosphere!

Many thanks to members of Events Committee who helped at the 4th of July activities, as well as assisting Judy Laney with her Music Summer Camp. She had about 18 school ages who spent the week singing, crafting, & just playing.
There will be updates soon about December activities, so residents can fill in their calendars.
Next meeting will be August 30th, at 4 at the RanchHouse. Feel free to join us and share any ideas might be churning in your head!
We meet on the last Tuesday of the month. The group is growing, & we visit a different Ransom home each month, sharing knowledge, experiences, ideas with friends who face similar gardening problems in our area. Details on next meeting, on August 25, will be shared on Facebook. If you’d like to know more, text Georgette at 806-789-8165. We look forward to having you join us!
There are no bird walks planned for August, but folks are always invited to reach out if they want to go “birding” at the chapel with me.
I am working on special bird walks for September and October. One of those will hopefully be a “field trip” over to Buffalo Springs (with gate fees waived for our group).

The Volunteer Fire Dept is always looking for more volunteers. Come support your neighborhood and meet new neighbors! Our meeting time is 7pm on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Mondays of each month.

Weekly Bible Studies
Ladies Bible Study: Every Tuesday at 10:00 AM at the Chapel. We would love for you to join us for fellowship, encouragement, and Bible study.

Special Guest – August 16
Join us on Sunday, August 16, at 10:00 AM for a special worship service featuring Erskin, a gospel singer-songwriter from Nashville, Tennessee. Erskin travels throughout the United States and around the world sharing the Gospel through music and testimony. Everyone is welcome to attend this inspiring morning of worship.
Golf Cart Transportation
For those who prefer not to walk up the hill to the Chapel, golf cart transportation is available before services.
