September 2025

As summer winds down and the first signs of the seasonal change begins, September brings a fresh season of community spirit here in Ransom Canyon. This month is the perfect time to enjoy cooler evenings by the lake, take in the natural beauty that surrounds us, and connect with one another through upcoming neighborhood events and activities.
In this edition of the newsletter, you’ll find important updates from the Property Owners Association and highlights of ways to get involved. Together, we continue to make Ransom Canyon not just a place to live, but a place to truly call home.
Ransom Canyon Property Owners Association

The Property Owners Association (POA) has been hard at work this past month, focusing on several key projects to enhance our community:
Creek Maintenance: Efforts are underway to implement a permanent solution to prevent creek stagnation by addressing issues with the Brookhollow pump.
Improved Communication: A new PA system is in the works to ensure better sound clarity during our community meetings.
Regulatory Progress: The POA is developing rental restrictions, crafting a standardized boat slip rental agreement, and seeking effective methods for cleaning moss from boat ramps.
Non-Profit Status Update: The POA has submitted all necessary documentation to reinstate its Non-Profit status and is currently awaiting a response from the IRS.
Ranch House Bookings:
Bookings at the Ranch House have seen a significant uptick. Excitingly, the Ranch House will soon be featured in Scout Guide magazine, showcasing its charm to a wider audience.
Ransom Canyon Pool:
Our community pool is thriving with numerous private parties scheduled and membership sales surpassing last year’s numbers.
Join Our Monthly Meetings:
September's POA Meeting has been moved to September 8th at 6:30pm due to the City Tax Hearing on September 2nd.
Normally our POA meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 PM at the Ranch House. These gatherings provide an excellent opportunity to engage with neighbors, discuss community topics, and receive updates on maintenance, events, and local regulations. We value your input and dedicate time for open discussions, ensuring every voice is heard in shaping the future of Ransom Canyon.
Your participation helps keep our community vibrant, safe, and welcoming!
Agenda's will be posted to the website 10 days in advance.

Meanwhile, firefighters continued their rigorous summer training, pushing through the Texas heat with dedication and teamwork.
The Volunteer Fire Department is continually seeking additional volunteers. Support your community and connect with new neighbors! Attention Ransom Canyon residents and nearby community members: The Ransom Canyon Volunteer Fire Department has rescheduled its meetings to Monday evenings at 7 PM to improve accessibility for those for whom Thursday meetings were inconvenient.
